Our Story

Union and Main is a San Francisco-based luxury gifting company bringing back etiquette and hospitality with creative warmth and style. In a busy world where all it takes is a "point and click" to send a gift, we are taking a step back and slowing down to devote our time curating thoughtful, bespoke gifts for your most discerning recipients. We care about the details, treasure originality and love hunting and gathering for the items you don't even know exist. Allow us to spend the hours you wish you had to curate, bundle, style and give the perfect gift for your most stylish friend or the person in your life who has it all.

After years of friendship, Brooke and Jenny realized they were both at the same crossroads with each of their youngest children entering kindergarten. With time to re-enter the creative space, Brooke and Jenny decided to launch Union and Main. With Brooke’s West Coast taste and flare and Jenny’s Southern timeless, effortless style, they hope to deliver ever-changing gift ideas for the most particular recipient.

About Brooke

Brooke is a native of San Francisco. She grew up on Union Street in Cow Hollow and attended The Hamlin School, followed by St. Mark’s School, and the University of Denver.

Post college, she returned to San Francisco and worked for LookSmart.com, 7x7 Magazine, and a couple of fashion designers.

A few years later, she decided to create her own women’s clothing boutique on Sacramento Street called Beau. She indulged in her deep love for curating, selling and sourcing new, unique designs and clothing lines.

Beau was open for four years, and during that time her family began to expand with the birth of her first child. Soon realizing the needs of her family were outweighing the store, she closed the boutique and focused the next decade on raising a family.

About Jenny

Jenny grew up on Main Street in small town Alabama. After attending Auburn University, she married her college sweetheart and moved to New York to attend the French Culinary Institute. Upon graduating, they moved to San Francisco where Jenny worked for a brief stint in restaurants before starting a catering company which grew over time with wonderful clients.

Life took over from there, and along with it came four kids and a move around the world and back. After almost a decade at home and all of the kids now in school, it became clear that it was time for the next phase. Jenny is excited to enter the creative world of Union and Main and serve some of the same needs that her catering company once did: making people feel nurtured and cared for in thoughtful ways. Jenny will always be a Southerner at heart, but has also fallen in love with San Francisco and finds the warmth and creativity familiar and inspiring.

We hope you enjoy Union and Main’s collections as much as we have loved bringing them to you.
